Aerial Reconnaissance Drone Vantage Robotics Trace

The new Trace nano drone offers advanced ISR capabilities for national security, public safety, and critical infrastructure at an affordable price.

Vantage Robotics has unveiled its latest innovation, the Trace nano drone, designed to meet the growing needs of national security, public safety, and critical infrastructure inspection. The pocket-sized drone combines powerful intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities with an affordable price, making it accessible for a wide range of customers.

This release builds on Vantage Robotics’ established reputation in the UAV industry. An earlier model, Vesper, is already on the DIU Blue sUAS “Cleared” list, a designation that ensures the drone meets rigorous government standards for security and use by U.S. agencies.

Trace Aerial Reconnaissance Drone: Small Size, Big Capabilities

Weighing just 153 grams, the Trace drone is lightweight yet highly capable. It remains under the FAA’s weight threshold for safe operation, allowing a greater number of users to deploy the drone in various scenarios. Trace features gimbal-stabilized, high-resolution visible light and thermal cameras with 24x zoom. This setup allows the drone to operate both indoors and outdoors, providing users with clear images in different environments.

In addition to its size and performance, Trace is designed for covert operations, with a low noise signature that makes it difficult to detect. The drone’s compact form allows it to be carried in a pocket, making it a convenient tool for law enforcement, defense personnel, and infrastructure inspectors. According to Tobin Fisher, CEO of Vantage Robotics, “Trace is a crucial next step in our mission to provide our customers with the world’s most capable small UAS.”

Built for Demanding Customers

Vantage Robotics has a history of working with some of the world’s most demanding clients. These include all branches of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and law enforcement agencies at national, state, and local levels. The Trace drone has been designed with input from these partners and has undergone four years of testing.

The drone’s advanced features include the proprietary Poplar radio, which allows it to operate up to 2 km away, as well as a folding airframe made from titanium and carbon fiber, ensuring durability in the field. With a flight time of over 30 minutes, Trace offers extended operational use compared to other drones in its class. Fisher expressed enthusiasm for the new product, stating, “After four years of non-stop innovation and testing with DoD and law enforcement partners, we’re thrilled to offer the best ISR nano drone in the world today.”

Ready for Purchase

Trace is now available for select customers, including those involved in national security, public safety, and infrastructure inspection. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Vantage Robotics directly for more information.

This launch marks another milestone in Vantage Robotics’ mission to deliver cutting-edge UAV solutions for its clients. As the demand for reliable, American-made drone technology continues to grow, Trace provides a new option for those seeking advanced capabilities in a compact, portable device.
