Nancy Pelosi Wears Pink Dolce & Gabbana at DNC, Yellow on ‘Colbert’

Nancy Pelosi opted for two distinct looks during her appearances on Day Two of the Democratic National Convention at United Center in Chicago and on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” on Tuesday. The former speaker of the House chatted with Colbert about the forthcoming 2024 presidential election in November.

During her time on the floor at the DNC, Pelosi opted for the Majolica-Print Round Neck Midi Dress by Dolce & Gabbana. Inspired by hand-painted majolica tiles, the dress featured an ornately designed pattern on the white base of the silk dress.

The design included shades of bright pink and fuchsia, from the rounded neckline to the three-quarter-length sleeves and to the hem of the midi dress. Pelosi paired the look with a white pearl necklace.

Following her time at the DNC, Pelosi made an appearance on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” which moved from New York City to Chicago to cover the DNC. For her interview on the late-night talk show, Pelosi changed her attire from the Dolce & Gabbana midi dress to a bright yellow jacket, crisp white trousers and pointed-toe heels.

As she’s done in the past, Pelosi coordinated her yellow jacket, with sharp lapels and soft shoulders, to her statement necklace, which featured rounded pieces in a similar, complementary shade of yellow. Pelosi previously paired her apparel with her accessories during an appearance on “Good Morning America” on Aug. 5.

During her interview with Colbert, Pelosi reflected on President Joe Biden’s decision to suspend his reelection campaign last July and endorse Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee for president of the U.S. “Right now what we’re talking about is for all the sovereigness of the decision, the weight of the decision — it was selfless and it was patriotic and, as he said in his speech, ‘I love being president but I love our country more.’ Now we must proceed with the election and win.”

The 2024 Democratic National Convention is taking place in Chicago and will conclude on Thursday. Delegates from all 50 states and U.S. territories are gathering to formally nominate Harris as the Democratic nominee for president and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as the nominee for the office of vice president.
