Ciara put a chic spin on athleisure while out in New York on Tuesday. The “Goodies” artist sported two separate looks that played on the jersey trend.

First, Ciara stepped out in an all-black Alexander Wang ensemble consisting of a zip-up short-sleeved jacket and matching baggy track pants, both crafted from football jersey-inspired fabric. She also added on black trucker hat, completing her look with Nike Air Max sneakers and a large navy Hermès Birkin tote.

The singer then changed into a striped long-sleeve Le Père soccer jersey, pairing it with black leather flares featuring zipper embellishments. Ciara accessorized with chunky ERL cat-eye shades, a chain necklace and the same Birkin bag.

Jerseys have been a street-style staple at fashion weeks across the globe, with attendees favoring vintage soccer, football, baseball and motocross graphics. Luxury brands like Balenciaga and Conner Ives have also cashed in on the craze, releasing high-end takes on the casual top.

Rihanna took the trend for a spin late last month, donning a V-neck Scott Racing top with camo Amiri cargo pants. She added luxe details to her look, including a monogrammed Gucci purse and a long diamond chain accented with rubies, emeralds and sapphires.

Ciara is teaming up with Bebe for the fall 2024 season, collaborating with the clothing brand on a capsule collection. She’ll also serve as the face of the campaign.

“Growing up, the Bebe brand was iconic,” she told WWD in January. “My vision as creative director is to mix my own personal style elements of girl-next-door with tomboy, glam and edge with a nod to the ’90s. I want this collection to allow women to style it their way and feel confident on their terms.”

On Friday, Ciara dropped her new single, “Run It Up,” which she performed during Missy Elliott’s “Out of This World” tour. The legendary rapper is joined by Ciara and Busta Rhymes on her latest jaunt, which travels across the U.S. and Canada.
