Vanessa Bryant was the latest high-profile attendee to show her American spirit during the 2024 Paris Olympics on Friday. The longtime philanthropist was spotted attending the women’s basketball semi-final match between Team USA and Team Australia at the Bercy Arena, where she showed off her patriotic garb.
For the match, Bryant wore a piece from Polo Ralph Lauren‘s line of Olympic apparel. She wore the official Team USA Flag Bearer Jacket, which featured the iconic Ralph Lauren sigil, various USA and Olympic-themed patches and USA embossed on the red, white and blue fabric.
Bryant continued her Americana-inspired apparel with other classic elements. She also wore a white top and denim bottoms while watching the basketball game. Along with her apparel, Bryant wore several pieces of jewelry, including stacked bracelets, various rings and layered necklaces.
Bryant isn’t the only A-list star to sport pieces of Polo Ralph Lauren Olympics apparel during the 2024 Paris games. On Aug. 1, Kendall Jenner was spotted wearing the exact same jacket along with the official Closing Ceremony Cap.
This is the ninth time the American designer served as Team USA’s official outfitter for the opening and closing ceremonies. Ralph Lauren debuted the designs for Team USA last June, along with pieces that can be purchased to benefit American Olympians.
“America is one of maybe one or two teams that are not funded by government,” David Lauren, chief branding and innovation officer for Ralph Lauren Corp., told WWD. “We were very committed to picking products that are salable. So we based the collection on products that we know will be popular and easy to wear,” Lauren said.
Over the course of the 2024 Paris Olympics, several American stars attending the games were seen wearing variations on Ralph Lauren’s designs, including a Team USA Villagewear pullover sweater. Other stars opted for their own personal approach to style, wearing casual looks for the various sporting events.
