Vice President Kamala Harris and her newly announced running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, made their official campaign debut at a Democratic rally held at Girard College in Philadelphia on Tuesday. The duo entered the stage together, coordinating in power suits, and were received by a euphoric crowd.
Harris, who’s been in a sartorial blue style streak during her presidential campaign, wore a navy suit and a satin pussy-bow blouse in a peach pink shade — the style has become a signature of the vice president over the last years in the White House.

Walz wore a darker tailored suit with a white shirt and a blue tie that coordinated with Harris’ outfit. His wife Gwen wore a light blue dress with a matching cardigan.
The blue hues were worn to represent the color of the Democratic party, while power suiting has long been a consistent piece of Harris’ political wardrobe.
The Harris-Walz campaign event kicked off a five-day road trip across seven crucial swing states, including Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona and Nevada.

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, who was considered for the vice presidential nomination, welcomed Harris and Walz to the stage. Shapiro also embraced the blue wave for the occasion, wearing a navy tailored suit and white button-down shirt.

“I’m going to be working my tail off to make sure we make Kamala Harris and Tim Walz the next leaders of the United States of America,” Shapiro said.

Walz, a 60-year-old Midwestern governor and military veteran, was announced on Tuesday as the Democratic vice presidential candidate. Harris introduced him to the crowd saying, “He’s the kind of person who makes people feel like they belong, and then inspires them to dream big. And that’s the kind of vice president he will be, and that’s the kind of vice president America deserves.”
