404 Day! Weekend Celebrates Atlanta’s Area Code And Culture

The weekend of festivities will celebrate the city’s leaders and legacy in the South.

Natives and newcomers to Atlanta can celebrate the city’s area code culture with its 404 Day! Weekend.

The celebration, hosted by The 404 Collective, will commemorate Atlanta’s distinct culture and pride as a Southern hotspot for music, food, and entertainment. The events, beginning April 1, will allow residents to engage with one another with a shared mission to uplift Atlanta.

The festivities commence with a 404 Fund Scholarship Gala. Taking place at Monday Night Garage, the event kicks off the days-long affair with a fundraiser to give back and empower Atlanta’s future leaders. Attendees can network in style while the elegant soirée promotes education for the city’s youth.

404 Day! will head to City Hall for another engagement, honoring pivotal local figures such as Organized Noize, Ryan Cameron, and Brandon Butler. That same evening, guests can head over to Retreat by The Gathering Spot to bask in Atlanta’s skyline with its leading tastemakers.

Tapping into the city’s emerging wellness sector, a Run Atlanta Weekend 5K will also encourage all to put on their sneakers and “put on” for their city. Following the run, the weekend’s second annual 404! Day Parade will take place in Downtown Atlanta.

On a mission to “shut down Peachtree,” attendees can expect appearances by Da Brat, Pastor Troy, and Mayor Andre Dickens to reflect on Atlanta’s legacy. As a “reflection of Atlanta in all its diversity,” the city offers families the chance to witness creative floats and the wide-ranging cultural institutions that have shaped the city.

The weekend will end with a block party across Underground Atlanta. The free event will feature music, food, and vendors, bringing out the best of “ATL.” From lemon pepper wings to a special presentation at 4:04, “ATLiens” are highly encouraged to pop out for this signature event.

Through partnerships with other local institutions, such as the Trap Music Museum and Atlanta Influences Everything, the 404 Collective has curated a jam-packed schedule to celebrate the city during a legendary weekend.
