The PGA of America took stage on Tuesday at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow and discussed the major championship that is about to unfold among other things. One of those other things was a future host being determined.
We now know that the 2032 PGA Championship will be played at Southern Hills.
With the 2032 PGA officially being set it will make Southern Hills the first venue to host the major championship six times. The other years it played host were 1970, 1982, 1994, 2007 and 2022. Incidentally the announcement was made at Quail Hollow and Justin Thomas won the last PGA played there, coincidentally Thomas also won the last PGA played at Southern Hills.
With Southern Hills being announced for 2032, we now know the destination for almost every PGA Championship through 2034:
- 2026: Aronimink Golf Club
- 2027: PGA Frisco
- 2028: The Olympic Club, Lake Course
- 2029: Baltusrol Golf Club, Lower Course
- 2030: Congressional Country Club
- 2031: The Ocean Course
- 2032: Southern Hills Country Club
- 2033: TBD
- 2034: PGA Frisco
